Pinto Beans Ham Hocks Cornbread And Pickled Onions



2 lbs Ham Hocks

1 lb Pinto Beans

3 cloves Garlic

1 32 ounce rooster broth (much less Sodium)

1 tbsp butter

1 medium onion minced

1 stalk celery minced

1/2 Inexperienced bell pepper minced

1/2 tsp cumin


1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp dried parsley and thyme

1 dice vegetable bouillon



Wash ham hocks add to inventory pot with 8 cups water boil for two hours .After 2 hours clear your beans wash add to the inventory pot with the 32 ounce rooster broth minced garlic and all the remainder of seasonings above

Cook dinner for an additional 2 and a half hours or till peas cook dinner tender and buttery.

Be aware: I cooked mines on the range prime for 4 and a half hours the meat will crumble but when your questioning why i didnt begin cooking the peas earlier is if you happen to cook dinner peas for 4 hours on a range prime it can turn into mush .so i added them half manner maintain them agency and buttery .
