Components
- 2 1/2cups recent or frozen (thawed and drained) blackberries (don’t use blueberries)
- 1cup sugar
- 1cup Gold Medal™ All-Goal Flour
- 2teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2teaspoon salt
- 1cup milk
- 1/2cup butter, melted
- Cream, whipped cream or ice cream, if desired
Steps
- 1In medium bowl, stir collectively blackberries and sugar. Let stand about 20 minutes or till fruit syrup varieties. Warmth oven to 375°F.
- 2In giant bowl, stir collectively flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Stir in melted butter till blended. Unfold in ungreased 8-inch sq. pan. Spoon blackberry combination over batter.
- 3Bake 45 to 55 minutes or till dough rises and is golden. Serve heat with cream.
